Short answer: Payment is due on receipt and Delta asks agencies to review and dispute quickly, so file the dispute the day the memo arrives. For tickets issued on or after October 28, 2024, a move of 180 minutes or more on a domestic trip, or 360 minutes or more on an international trip, qualifies. Valid for one year from the original ticket date.

Which schedule changes let a Delta traveler get a refund?
For tickets issued on or after October 28, 2024, a move of 180 minutes or more on a domestic trip, or 360 minutes or more on an international trip, qualifies. Tickets issued earlier use 120 minutes. Cancellations, airport changes, added stops, downgrades and missed connections also qualify, and a flight number change alone does not.

How long does an unused Delta ticket keep its value?
Valid for one year from the original ticket date. Domestic trips finish within the year; international trips begin within it. An exchange keeps the original ticket's year. A flight Delta cancels gives an eCredit valid five years from issue.
Basic fares: A Delta Main Basic ticket cancelled before departure keeps its value for a new ticket, less the cancellation charge in the fare rule, within the original ticket's one-year validity. If the fare rule lists no Main Basic cancellation charge, the ticket can't be changed or cancelled. A missed flight forfeits the value.
